Meet your Ward 2 team

Ben Krikstolaitis is a dedicated community leader running for Council as a Labor candidate in Ward 2. A long-time resident of the Shoalhaven, Ben moved to the area in 2010 with his family following his posting to HMAS Albatross, where he completed 21 years of service in the Navy. Since then, he has become deeply rooted in the community, with his children attending local schools, and his wife, Michelle, a former teacher, now working as an accountant in Sanctuary Point. Ben's career has spanned military service, club governance, and sports administration, showcasing his broad skill set, particularly in governance, where he has overseen the management of 94 clubs from Sydney to Ulladulla.

Ben’s vision for Shoalhaven Council centres on practical, responsible governance. He recognises the lack of essential plans for road maintenance, fleet management, and other core services that have contributed to decades of mismanagement. Ben is not running on grand promises of big spending; instead, he aims to establish a foundation of solid governance, enabling future councils to build sustainably. His focus is on fixing fundamental issues, ensuring that the council operates effectively and delivers for its residents. On 14th September, he asks voters to support Labor and bring much-needed leadership to Ward 2.
