About Councillor Gillian Boyd
Councillor Gillian BoydAs a current Ward 3 councillor, Gillian is using her long community experience, and her professional skills and expertise in policy development and program delivery to represent the people of Ward 3 in the Shoalhaven City Council. Gillian is guided by Labor values of fairness, balance, and efficiency to make responsible financial and policy decisions on council. Gillian believes that true co-operation and collaboration can achieve a financially responsible balance in council decision making while providing high quality services and infrastructure to ratepayers.
However, Gillian has always served in representative roles in her community. From the Playgroups Association when her kids were toddlers to P&C and school board roles, as well as coaching hockey and at helping at sausage sizzles. Later Gillian chaired her local Community Service organisation delivering childcare and aged care services, community support and education to her wider community. Now as a retiree as well as serving as a councillor Gillian enjoys participating in the Milton Ulladulla Dog Training Club activities with her dog Cosmo, and pursuing her personal interests. She is a past president of the Ulladulla and Districts Garden Club and is a Land Manager for the South Pacific Heathland Reserve in Ulladulla.
